Tánaiste meets with Fund and interface community group

Published on:  12 Nov 2012

The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Eamon Gilmore T.D, yesterday (11th November 2012) met Dr. Adrian Johnston, Chairman of the International Fund for Ireland; Pat Colgan, Chief Executive of the Special European Union Programmes Body (SEUPB) and representatives of the communities forming the Duncairn Gardens Partnership.

The Tánaiste received insight into peace and reconciliation work being undertaken by the International Fund for Ireland and its efforts to create dialogue on the future of physical barriers dividing interface communities in North Belfast.  On the same day, the Tánaiste became the first Irish Government Minister to participate in a Remembrance Day service in Belfast.
