International Fund for Ireland hosts Sharing in Education Programme Networking Conference

The International Fund for Ireland recently hosted a Sharing in Education Programme Conference held in Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn attended by representatives from each of the twenty two SiEP projects. The conference was organised by the managing agent of the Programme, the Department of Education, to offer an opportunity for participants to share learning and best practice, to explore opportunities for further collaboration and consider the legacy and elements of sustainability beyond the life of the Programme.
Following a welcome by Mary Southwell, Board Member of the International Fund for Ireland and Linda Wilson, Families & Communities Director at the Department of Education delegates heard from the keynote speaker Walker Ewart of the Education & Training Inspectorate. In addition, young volunteers from the Spirit of Enniskillen Trust facilitated a number of workshops throughout the day.
